Emergency Utility AssistanceNicholas Community Action Partnership
Emergency Utility Assistance
Emergency Utility Assistance Program is designed to help families that are struggling with payment of their utility services in a timely manner and are now under the threat of termination. We assist with preventing termination of electricity, natural gas and water. We also assist with purchasing wood and propane.
We exercise our case management experience to help guide an individual or family in distress to other resources in the community for help. We partner with multiple state and local agencies, including WV DHHR, Salvation Army, Faith & Works mission, Love Works, Inc. and both local food pantries to assist families in getting back on track.
